Selenium, an antioxidant enzyme component, has been shown to protect against colorectal cancer risk. A diet is the primary source of these antioxidants, and selenium level inversely related risk may be responsible for around 50% The study aims evaluate levels as a marker participants in this were 180 individuals, comprising patients healthy people, separated into two distinct groups: first comprised 90 cases, 47 them men, 43 female patients. second group had including 60 men 30 women. All individuals subjected blood sampling determine serum by using Flame Atomic Absorption Spectrometer. mean concentration was significantly lower (P< 0.01) than control people. result shows strong association between low cancer.
